## Why does AEO matter more than SEO in 2026?

Your prospects ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini before they touch Google. If those engines do not cite you, you are missing from the earliest conversation in your sales funnel.

Search

Ten links. The buyer compares and decides.

Answers

One written answer that cites a few sources.

SourceSourceYour site?

### Answers replace clicks

When an assistant writes the answer, the buyer may never open a results page. Being named in the answer is the new first impression.

### Engines choose sources

They favor pages that state the answer plainly, label it with schema and come from a source they can identify and trust.

### The gaps are concrete

Missing schema, no llms.txt and blocked AI crawlers are all things we check, and all things you can fix.

## What's in the AEO Health Check report?

The same analysis we run on a client site, laid out so you can act on it.

1. 01

   ### A readiness score and a letter grade

One score out of 100 across ten measures, graded A to F, so you know where you stand at a glance.
2. 02

   ### Every page scored

Each page we can reach is scored on sixteen checks that search engines and AI assistants read.
3. 03

   ### The AI answer test

Real buyer questions asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini, with who gets cited. The report says which engines were asked.
4. 04

   ### Your search baseline

Organic keywords and traffic from Semrush, so you know where you start.
5. 05

   ### Competitors compared

## How does the AEO Health Check analyze your site?

The score is built from ten measures, sized below by how much each counts toward the 100 points. Select one to see what we check and why it matters.

**100**points

Foundations

### Crawlability and indexing

Counts for **4** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** robots.txt and your sitemap, canonical tags, noindex tags, redirects and status codes.

**Why it matters.** A page that cannot be crawled or indexed cannot be found or cited.

Foundations

### AI answer access

Counts for **5** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** Whether robots.txt lets GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended in, and whether you publish an llms.txt file.

**Why it matters.** If an AI crawler is turned away, the engine never reads the page it would have quoted.

Content

### Answer-shaped content

Counts for **16** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** Whether pages open with a direct answer, use question headings, carry FAQs and break into passages that can be quoted on their own.

**Why it matters.** Engines lift passages that answer plainly. Pages that bury the answer lose to pages that state it.

Content

### On-page fundamentals

Counts for **11** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** Titles, meta descriptions, one H1, H2 structure, image alt text and enough words to answer the question.

**Why it matters.** These are the basics every search engine and assistant relies on to understand a page.

Content

### Structured data and entity

Counts for **11** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** Organization, Service, Article, FAQ, Review and LocalBusiness markup, plus consistent naming and links to your official profiles.

**Why it matters.** Markup and a clear identity are how an engine knows who you are and what each page is.

Demand

### Local visibility

Counts for **12** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** The city in your titles, LocalBusiness markup, and how you show up for searches asked from your city.

**Why it matters.** For a local buyer, being named in the answer for their city is the new first impression.

Authority

### Authority and links

Counts for **9** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** How your own pages link to each other, which pages are orphaned, and the authority signals Semrush reports for your domain.

**Why it matters.** Engines lean on sources that other sources trust, and internal links tell them which of your pages matter.

Demand

### Demand capture

Counts for **16** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** Whether the pages that earn an enquiry have a form or a phone link and are strong enough to turn a visit into a conversation.

**Why it matters.** Visibility only pays if the page that gets the visit gives the buyer a next step.

Foundations

### Speed on a phone

Counts for **9** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** How fast your key pages load on a mobile connection.

**Why it matters.** Slow pages lose visitors and are crawled less willingly.

Content

### Publishing

Counts for **7** of the 100 points.

**What we check.** How often you publish and how substantial what you publish is.

**Why it matters.** Engines favor sources that keep producing useful, current answers.

## How is your AEO score calculated?

Every score is arithmetic over what we measured. Nothing in the numbers is written by a model, so two reports a month apart can be compared.

01

### Measured, not guessed

Each measure is scored out of 100 from the signals behind it, such as how many of your pages carry the right schema or whether AI crawlers are allowed in.

02

### Not measured is not zero

If we cannot measure something, it is marked as not measured and left out of the weighting. A missing data source never reads as a bad score.

03

### The answer test is shown in full

The questions we asked the engines and the sources each answer cited are listed in your report, so you can see exactly what was tested.

**F**Below 40

**D**40

**C**55

**B**70

**A**85 and up

Letter grades are assigned from the overall score out of 100.

## What does the average B2B AEO score look like in 2026?

Across the **60** sites we have analysed with this same method, mostly office equipment dealers, MSPs and IT providers, the average overall score is **48** out of 100 and the median is **49**. It is a measured average of our own sample, not a survey of all B2B sites.

- **A**Strong. Engines can find, read and trust you. The work now is to stay ahead.
- **B**Solid. A few fixable gaps stand between you and consistent citation.
- **C**Mixed. Gaps are costing you answers that a competitor is winning.
- **D**Weak. Major foundations are missing, and fixing them moves the score fastest.
- **F**Wide open. Little of what engines look for is in place, which means the first fixes will matter a lot.

### Where you land

Run the check above and your report puts your score next to this average and next to the competitors you name, measure by measure, so you can see where you are ahead, where you are behind and what closing each gap is worth.

Privacy and data

## Who built the AEO Health Check?

Quantum Business Solutions is a B2B revenue operations consultancy led by Shawn Peterson. We serve office equipment dealers, MSPs, IT services providers and commercial real estate firms with HubSpot implementations, AI workforce assessments and revenue acceleration programs.

### We use it on every prospect engagement

Before any RevOps or AI engagement, we run this analysis on the client's site, so we start from where they actually sit. We made it public because the same diagnostic helps any B2B team running its own playbook.

### Your domain and email stay private

We only read pages that are public. We do not sell your data, and your scores are not posted anywhere. Your full report sits behind a private link that only people you share it with can open.

## When should you run an AEO Health Check?

Any time you would like to know where answer engines see you. These are the moments it pays off most.

1. 1

   ### You have never audited AEO

If answer engine optimization is new to you, this sets your baseline.
2. 2

   ### Your organic traffic has gone flat

A flat line can mean AI answers are taking questions that used to send visitors to you. The report shows whether that is the cause or something else.
3. 3

   ### You publish content and nothing seems to happen

Sometimes the writing is fine and the foundations are the problem: schema, author signals, crawl access. The report separates the two.
4. 4

   ### A competitor keeps showing up in answers

The report compares you with the competitors your buyers name, so you see where they are ahead.
5. 5

   ### You are planning this year's marketing

Know where AI engines see you before you spend on content, ads or SEO.

## What do you do after the AEO Health Check?

Three paths, and only the first two cost nothing.

Path A

### Run the recommendations yourself

Many of the top fixes take an hour or two: add an llms.txt file, fix your homepage schema, add author bylines. Our free [SEO and AEO checklist](https://www.thequantumleap.business/tools/seo-aeo-checklist?hsLang=en) helps you keep track.

Free. No commitment.

Path B

### Book a call with our team

A free call to walk through your results, pick the two or three highest-impact moves for your business and decide what is worth doing yourself versus outsourcing.

Free. [Book a time](https://meetings.hubspot.com/shawn-peterson)

Path C

### Quantum builds the fix

If the gaps are bigger than your team can absorb, we offer fixed fee AEO foundation builds: llms.txt, full schema, content trust signals and topic clusters, shipped in 2 to 4 weeks.

$5,000 – $15,000 fixed

The AEO Journey

## Six months to *being the answer*

Your health check is month one. Here is the full journey from audit to AI citations, the same playbook we run on our own site.

Month 1Month 2Month 3Month 4Month 5Month 6

01

#### Audit & Baseline

Month 1

AEO audit and scorecard: the questions buyers ask, who gets cited today, and every technical gap that keeps you out of the answer.

02

#### Foundation

Months 1-2

Schema, sitemaps, canonicals, and direct-answer blocks on every money page. The plumbing that makes your site quotable.

03

#### Answer Architecture

Months 2-3

One question, one page. Evergreen answers built around your niche expertise, interlinked to the pages that sell.

04

#### Authority

Month 4

Directory profiles, review velocity, and industry citations. The sources AI engines already trust start pointing at you.

05

#### AI Citations

Month 5

Scorecard re-run: measured movement from absent to cited. Your results become the case study.

06

#### Compounding

Month 6+

A content system with guardrails keeps answering new questions every quarter, so visibility compounds instead of decaying.

## What exactly happens, from day one

No black box. This is the engagement, phase by phase, with the deliverable you hold at the end of each one. Your health check above is the first two weeks.

01

### Audit & Baseline Month 1, weeks 1 to 2

**What we do.** We define the 25 questions your buyers actually ask, run every one through the AI engines and Google, and record who gets cited today. In parallel we crawl your site for the technical gaps that keep pages out of answers: schema, sitemaps, canonicals, page structure.

**What you walk away with.** Your AEO Scorecard (every query, cited or absent, and who wins instead), a ranked defect list, and a tailored six month roadmap. Delivered as a working session, not a PDF that sits in a drawer.

02

### Foundation Months 1 to 2

**What we do.** We fix the plumbing: canonical and sitemap corrections, redirect cleanup, a full JSON-LD schema stack (Organization, Service, Offer, FAQ, Breadcrumb), and a direct answer block on every money page so engines can quote you in two sentences.

**What you walk away with.** A changelog of every fix with before and after crawls, and pages that answer the question in the first screen. This is the difference between being indexed and being quotable.

03

### Answer Architecture Months 2 to 3

**What we do.** One question, one page. We build a content map of the questions worth owning, ranked by difficulty and buying intent, and you approve it before anything is written. Then we publish on cadence: evergreen answers built on your expertise, interlinked to the pages that sell.

**What you walk away with.** The approved question map, new answer pages shipping every week, and a glossary class resource asset your niche will reference.

04

### Authority Month 4

**What we do.** AI engines trust sources before they trust sites. We complete and optimize the profiles those engines already cite (partner directories, review platforms), build review velocity, and place your expertise in the industry publications your buyers read.

**What you walk away with.** Completed directory profiles, a review pipeline that runs itself, and citations in sources the engines already pull answers from.

05

### AI Citations Month 5

**What we do.** We re-run the full scorecard and measure movement query by query: absent to present, present to cited. Winners get doubled down on. Laggards get diagnosed and fixed.

**What you walk away with.** A movement report against your month one baseline, and a case study built from your own numbers.

06

### Compounding Month 6 and beyond

**What we do.** Visibility decays without a system. We install one: a quarterly question map, a guarded content engine that never duplicates or fabricates, and a monthly scorecard cadence.

**What you walk away with.** A standing monthly report: rankings, citations, traffic, and next month’s plan. The machine keeps answering new questions while you run your business.

Every phase is covered by the retainers on our [marketing services page](https://www.thequantumleap.business/marketing-services?hsLang=en), and the audit fee applies toward any package. [Book a call](https://meetings.hubspot.com/shawn-peterson/quantum-website) to start with the scorecard.

## How much does the AEO Health Check cost?

$0

Free. No credit card. No signup.

Enter your domain and your result appears on this page in about ten minutes, with a link to your full report.

### Why it is free

The analysis is free because it earns trust. Some teams fix the gaps themselves. Some hire Quantum. Either way, we would rather show value upfront than hide it behind a paywall.

> The AEO Health Check costs $0. No credit card, no trial period, no upsell wall.

## What does the AEO Health Check NOT cover?

The analysis is genuinely useful and it has clear limits. Here is the honest scoping.

- ### A complete content audit

We evaluate infrastructure and signals, not the quality of your messaging or thought leadership. A content audit is a different engagement.
- ### A guarantee of citation

Fixing the recommendations improves your odds, but no AEO tactic guarantees an engine will cite you. Authority builds over time.
- ### A full SEO audit

We sample Semrush data and look at authority and structure. A full audit adds keyword gap analysis, backlink review and technical depth.
- ### Every AI engine

We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini. Other assistants may answer differently.
- ### A custom strategy

The report names the gaps and what to do first. A tailored plan is what a strategy call or an engagement is for.

AEO 40

**0 of 40**Crawl and index**0** of 8

Search engines can reach and index the pages that matter.

1. Every page you want found returns a 200 and is not blocked by robots.txt

A page a crawler cannot fetch cannot rank, whatever else is true about it.

   How to check it

Open yoursite.com/robots.txt and check no Disallow line covers your key sections. Run your top ten URLs through URL Inspection in Search Console.

   About 15 minutesPartly measured
2. An XML sitemap lists your canonical pages and is submitted in Search Console

A sitemap is the cleanest way to tell search engines which pages you consider important.

   How to check it

Find your sitemap (often /sitemap.xml), confirm it lists only live, indexable URLs, and check it shows as processed in Search Console.

   About 15 minutesPartly measured
3. Each page has one self-referencing canonical URL

Duplicate versions of a page split its signals; a canonical says which one counts.

   How to check it

View source on a few pages and look for a rel=canonical tag that points to the page's own preferred URL.

About 15 minutesMeasured by our analysis
4. No important page carries a noindex tag by accident

Redesigns and staging settings often leave a noindex behind, and the page quietly drops out.

   How to check it

Search Console's Pages report lists 'Excluded by noindex'. Check that every URL on that list is there on purpose.

About 15 minutesMeasured by our analysis
5. Redirects are single 301 hops with no chains, loops or internal links to redirected URLs

Every extra hop wastes crawl time and dilutes the link; loops make the page unreachable.

   How to check it

Crawl the site with any site crawler and review the redirect report. Update internal links to point straight at the final URL.

   A few hoursNot measured yet
6. Only one version of your site is live: http, https, www and non-www all redirect to a single preferred address

Four versions of the same site split links and signals and can be indexed as duplicates.

   How to check it

Type each version into a browser and confirm all of them end up at one address with a single redirect.

   About 15 minutesPartly measured
7. Missing pages return a proper 404 with a helpful custom page, not a blank or 'soft' page that looks like it worked

Soft 404s waste crawl time and confuse indexing, and a helpful 404 keeps visitors on the site.

   How to check it

Visit a made-up URL on your site. It should show a clear not-found page with search and links, and the status should be 404.

   About 15 minutesNot measured yet
8. If you serve more than one country or language, hreflang tags point each version of a page to the others

Without them, engines may show the wrong version to the wrong audience.

   How to check it

Check each translated or regional page lists all its alternates, including itself, with the right language and region codes.

On-page basics**0** of 9

The fundamentals every page needs, checked one page at a time.

1. Every title tag is unique, leads with the main topic and is about 50 to 60 characters

The title is the headline in the results page. Longer titles tend to be cut off, and repeats make pages compete.

   How to check it

Export titles from a crawler and sort by length and duplicates. Rewrite the repeats and the ones that start with your brand name.

   A few hoursPartly measured
2. Every meta description summarizes the page in about 150 to 160 characters and gives a reason to click

Search engines often use it as the snippet, so it works as your ad copy.

   How to check it

Review descriptions for the same length range, and rewrite any that are empty, duplicated or generic.

   A few hoursPartly measured
3. Each page has exactly one H1 that matches the intent of the title

One clear H1 tells readers and engines what the page is about, and the match with the title confirms it.

   How to check it

Check each key page has a single H1 and that it describes the same topic as the title tag.

About 15 minutesMeasured by our analysis
4. You know the search terms your buyers use, and each one is mapped to the page that should rank for it

Without keyword research you are guessing which questions to answer and which pages to build.

   How to check it

List the terms buyers use, check their volume and difficulty in Search Console or a keyword tool, and assign each to one page.

   A few hoursPartly measured
5. Every important page has a branded share image and social sharing tags

A clear image and headline make links look credible when they are shared and give platforms the right preview.

   How to check it

Paste a few key URLs into a social share debugger and confirm the image, title and description look right.

   About 15 minutesPartly measured
6. H2s break the page into descriptive sections, with question headings where buyers ask questions

Headings are how people scan and how engines find the part that answers a query.

   How to check it

Read only the headings on a page. If they do not tell the story, rewrite them. Avoid labels like Overview or More info.

About 15 minutesMeasured by our analysis
7. URLs are short, readable, lowercase and hyphenated

A clean URL is easier to share, remember and understand at a glance.

   How to check it

Scan your top pages. Fix any with dates, IDs, parameters or long strings, and redirect the old URL if you change one.

   About 15 minutesNot measured yet
8. Every meaningful image has descriptive alt text and a reasonable file size

Alt text helps accessibility and image search, and heavy images slow the page.

   How to check it

Crawl for images missing alt text, then compress anything much larger than it displays.

   A few hoursPartly measured
9. A primary call to action is visible without scrolling and repeated at the end

Traffic with no next step is wasted. Make the action obvious on both ends of the page.

   How to check it

Open your top ten pages on a phone and check you can see what to do next without scrolling.

Content**0** of 7

Pages that fully answer the question they target.

1. Each page targets one primary search intent, and no two pages compete for the same query

Two pages chasing the same query split their strength, and neither ranks as well as one strong page would.

   How to check it

List your target query for each page. Where two pages share one, merge them or sharpen each page's angle.

   A few hoursPartly measured
2. Pages are complete enough to answer the question, not thin

Very short pages rarely satisfy a question. Our analysis flags pages under 300 words as thin.

   How to check it

Sort pages by word count. Expand, merge or remove the shortest ones that you want to rank.

A few hoursMeasured by our analysis
3. The obvious follow-up questions are answered on the page

Buyers ask what it costs, how it works and who it is for. A page that stops early loses the next search.

   How to check it

For each key page, write the three questions a buyer asks next and check the page answers them.

A few hoursJudged by our analysis
4. Content shows specifics: sourced numbers, named tools, steps and real examples

Specifics are what make a page worth citing instead of any other page on the topic.

   How to check it

Highlight every general claim on a page and replace it with a concrete example, step or sourced figure.

A few hoursJudged by our analysis
5. Articles show an author and a published or updated date, and key pages are refreshed at least yearly

Visible authorship and dates tell readers and engines the page is real and current.

   How to check it

Add bylines and dates to articles, and put a yearly review for your most important pages in the calendar.

   Ongoing habitPartly measured
6. Related pages are organized into topic clusters, with a main guide on each topic linked to and from its supporting pages

Clusters show search engines you cover a subject in depth, not just in passing.

   How to check it

Pick your three most important topics. For each, make sure there is one main guide that links to every supporting page and is linked back from them.

   A few hoursPartly measured
7. You publish on a regular schedule, and what you publish is substantial

A steady rhythm of useful pages signals an active, reliable source and gives you more chances to be found.

   How to check it

Decide a realistic cadence, such as two good pages a month, and put it in the calendar. Substance beats volume.

   Ongoing habitPartly measured

Speed and technical health**0** of 6

A fast, secure site that works on a phone.

1. Key pages meet the Core Web Vitals 'good' thresholds on mobile: LCP 2.5 seconds or less, INP 200 milliseconds or less, CLS 0.1 or less

These are Google's published thresholds for a good page experience, measured on real visitors.

   How to check it

Open the Core Web Vitals report in Search Console, or run a key page through PageSpeed Insights, and fix the slowest template first.

   A few hoursPartly measured
2. The site is mobile friendly: readable text, tappable buttons and no sideways scrolling

Most searches happen on phones, and engines index the mobile version first.

   How to check it

Open your top pages on an actual phone and try to complete the main action with one thumb.

   About 15 minutesNot measured yet
3. The whole site is served over HTTPS with no mixed content warnings

Browsers flag insecure pages, and visitors leave when they see a warning.

   How to check it

Load key pages and check the padlock. Fix any page that pulls in images or scripts over plain http.

   About 15 minutesPartly measured
4. There are no broken links in your navigation, footer or key pages

Dead links frustrate visitors and waste crawl time.

   How to check it

Run a link check across the site and fix or remove every 404 you find, starting with the navigation.

   A few hoursPartly measured
5. Every important page is within three clicks of the homepage

Pages buried deep in the site are crawled less often and seen as less important.

   How to check it

Use a crawler's depth report to list important pages more than three clicks down, then link to them from higher up.

   A few hoursNot measured yet
6. Structured data validates with no errors

Broken markup is ignored, so the effort is wasted.

   How to check it

Paste key URLs into Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema Markup Validator and fix what they report.

   About 15 minutesPartly measured

Links and authority**0** of 7

The links that tell engines which pages matter.

1. Every page is linked to from at least three other pages on your site

A page nothing links to is an orphan, and engines find and value it less.

   How to check it

Use a crawler's inlinks report to list pages with fewer than three links in, then add contextual links from related pages.

   A few hoursPartly measured
2. Important pages link out to related pages using descriptive anchor text

Internal links pass context. 'Click here' says nothing, while 'our HubSpot onboarding guide' does.

   How to check it

On your top pages, add a few links to related pages with anchors that describe the destination. Never change the page's headings to do it.

   A few hoursPartly measured
3. You earn links from relevant sites: partners, customers, directories, podcasts and original research

Links from respected, related sites remain one of the strongest signals of authority.

   How to check it

List five organizations that already know you and ask each for a relevant link, a mention or a directory listing.

   Ongoing habitPartly measured
4. Your profiles on LinkedIn, Google Business Profile and industry directories are complete and consistent

These profiles are often what shows up next to your site, and mismatched details erode trust.

   How to check it

Compare your name, address, phone and description across every profile and make them identical.

   A few hoursCheck by hand
5. You track branded and non-branded search visibility every month in Search Console

What you do not measure you cannot improve, and branded traffic can hide a weak non-branded footprint.

   How to check it

Filter the Search Console performance report by queries containing your brand name, then record both groups monthly.

   Ongoing habitNeeds your Google access
6. Google Search Console and an analytics tool are installed and verified on every version of the site

They are the only way to see how you are found, what is broken and what is working.

   How to check it

Confirm Search Console shows your site as verified and analytics records visits on every key page.

About 15 minutesNeeds your Google access
7. Customers can review you on the sites buyers check, and you reply to reviews

Third-party reviews build trust and often rank on their own for your name.

   How to check it

Search your company name plus 'reviews'. Make sure your profiles on Google and the main review sites are claimed and current.

   Ongoing habitPartly measured

Local and conversion**0** of 3

Turning visibility into conversations.

1. Your Google Business Profile is claimed and complete, if you serve a local market

For a local buyer this is often the first thing they see.

   How to check it

Check categories, hours, services, photos and the link back to your site, and respond to reviews.

A few hoursNeeds your Google access
2. Local pages name the city or region you serve in the title and the opening

Location terms are how a local buyer's search matches your page.

   How to check it

Add the city to the titles of your local service pages and the first paragraph, written naturally.

   About 15 minutesPartly measured
3. Every key page has a form or phone link, and the conversion is tracked as an event

Without tracking you cannot tell which pages produce conversations.

   How to check it

Make sure form submits and phone taps fire events in your analytics, and check they appear in reports.

**0 of 40**AI crawler access**0** of 7

Answer engines can reach and read your pages.

1. robots.txt does not block the AI crawlers you want: GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended

If a crawler is blocked it cannot read the page, so the engine cannot cite it.

   How to check it

Open robots.txt and look for Disallow rules aimed at those user agents. Decide deliberately which to allow.

About 15 minutesMeasured by our analysis
2. The main text of each page is in the HTML, not added only by JavaScript

Many crawlers read the raw HTML and may never run your scripts.

   How to check it

View source on a key page and search for a sentence from the body. If it is missing, ask your developer to render it server-side.

   About 15 minutesNot measured yet
3. An llms.txt file at the root of the site summarizes who you are and links your best pages

It is a newer convention that gives AI tools a short, curated map of your site. It is cheap to add and not a guarantee.

   How to check it

Publish /llms.txt with a one-line description of the company and a list of your most useful pages, each with a short note.

About 15 minutesMeasured by our analysis
4. Your CDN or firewall is not blocking legitimate crawlers

Bot protection can silently turn away the crawlers you want.

   How to check it

Check your security settings and server logs for blocked requests from the major AI and search crawlers.

5. Sitemap dates are accurate so engines can find new and updated pages

Accurate last-modified dates help crawlers spend time on what changed.

Search your page source for nosnippet and max-snippet directives and remove any you did not set on purpose.

Answer-first content**0** of 10

Pages written so the answer can be lifted cleanly.

1. Each page opens with a direct answer of roughly 40 to 60 words before any background

Engines quote the opening, and a page that buries its answer is passed over for one that states it.

   How to check it

Rewrite the first paragraph of a key page so it answers the title's question outright. Move the background below it.

A few hoursJudged by our analysis
2. Headings are written as the questions buyers actually ask

A heading that matches a question makes the matching answer easy to find and quote.

   How to check it

Turn vague headings into questions, using wording from your sales calls and support tickets.

   A few hoursPartly measured
3. Each key page has an FAQ of five to eight real questions with plain, self-contained answers

Each answer can be quoted on its own, which is what an answer engine needs.

   How to check it

Collect the questions customers ask most, answer each in two or three sentences and add them to the page.

   A few hoursPartly measured
4. Your main topic is defined in one clear sentence that could be quoted on its own

A definition is the most quotable sentence a page can contain.

   How to check it

Add a sentence of the form 'X is ...' near the top of each topic page, in plain words.

5. Answers include concrete specifics: named tools, steps, sourced figures and labeled examples

Specific answers are cited. Generic ones are interchangeable.

   How to check it

Replace each vague claim with a step, a name or a figure you can source, and label illustrative numbers as examples.

A few hoursJudged by our analysis
6. Content uses lists, tables and short paragraphs so passages can be quoted alone

Long unbroken text cannot be quoted cleanly, so it gets summarized away.

   How to check it

Break long sections into headed passages of a few sentences, and turn comparisons into tables or lists.

A few hoursJudged by our analysis
7. Key facts such as services, locations, hours and contact details are in plain text, not only inside images or PDFs

Engines cannot reliably read text locked in an image, so a fact only in a graphic is a fact they do not have.

   How to check it

Look at your key pages with images turned off. Anything important that disappears should also be written as text.

   About 15 minutesNot measured yet
8. Pages cover the follow-ups: cost, how it works, who it is for, alternatives and risks

Engines break a question into sub-questions, and the page that answers more of them is chosen more often.

   How to check it

For each key page, check it answers cost, process, fit, alternatives and risks, even if only briefly.

A few hoursJudged by our analysis
9. Your pricing or typical price ranges are published, and you have honest comparison and alternatives pages

Buyers and engines ask what something costs and how it compares. A page that answers gets quoted, and one that dodges does not.

   How to check it

Add a clear pricing page or ranges, and a 'compared to' page for the two or three alternatives buyers weigh you against.

6. You take part where buyers ask questions: Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, YouTube and industry forums

Answer engines frequently pull from community answers. Helpful, honest replies can put your name in front of the engine.

   How to check it

Find the threads where your buyers ask, answer genuinely and disclose who you are. Never spam.

Measurement**0** of 4

You can see whether it is working.

1. Pick 20 to 25 buyer questions and ask them every month in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini

It is the direct way to see whether you are cited today and whether that changes.

   How to check it

Write the questions once, ask each engine monthly and record who is cited and whether you are among them.

2. AI referral traffic is tracked in analytics

It shows whether answer engines send you visitors.

   How to check it

Look in your analytics for traffic from chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai and similar referrers, and save it as a report.

About 15 minutesNeeds your Google access
3. You track whether your pages appear in Google's AI Overviews for your target questions

AI Overviews are now a place where a buyer meets an answer first.

   How to check it

Search your target questions monthly and note whether an AI Overview appears and whether your site is cited.

   Ongoing habitNot measured yet
4. You check what AI assistants say about your company and correct anything wrong at the source

An engine repeats whatever it learned. If it has an old address, wrong service or outdated price, the fix is on the pages and profiles it learned from.

   How to check it

Ask each assistant who you are and what you do. Fix wrong facts on your site and profiles, then check again next month.

## Frequently asked questions about the AEO Health Check

Is this really free?

Yes. There is no credit card, no trial period and no upsell wall. We cover the cost of the data and the AI queries. You enter your domain and the result appears on this page.

How accurate is the data?

Search data comes from Semrush. AI answers come from asking the engines directly. Site checks come from reading your public pages. The scores are arithmetic over those measurements, and every written finding names the evidence behind it.

How long does it take?

About ten minutes. The analysis crawls your site, queries the search data and asks the AI engines your buyers use. Leave the page open and your result appears here. If you come back later on the same device, it will still be waiting.

Will Quantum sell my data?

No. We only read pages that are public, we do not sell or share your data, and your scores are not posted anywhere. Your full report sits behind a private link that only people you share it with can open.

Can I run this on a competitor's domain?

The analysis uses only public information, so technically yes. To keep it free for everyone, each visitor can run one check a month. Book a call with our team and we will run any other site with you.

What if my score is bad?

A low score is a starting point, not a verdict. The value is the ranked list of fixes, and fixing the top ones changes the score on the next run. Book a call with our team and we will go through it with you.

Do I have to talk to anyone after?

No. The call is optional, and many teams simply take the recommendations and run with them.

## Ready to maximize your growth?

Book a call and we will map your path to a unified revenue engine.
